I was reading C&D last night, and they said the SRT Charger has an under hood cup holder ring, so you have a place to put your beer while you're under the hood. This is awesome. It might also make a nice little dish to put screws and shit that likes to run away. Here is a pic on a Challenger.

What would be the best is if, under that plastic, was a magnPATENTPENDINGPATENTPENDINGPATENTPENDING

Good idea.

I noticed that on my friends Challenger right after he bought it.

Perfect. I bought this magnetic parts bowl for $1 at Harbor Freight. Pretty much the best thing of all times. OF ALL TIME!

I read that same article last night and was rather disappointed that they didn't include a picture. Thanks for saving me the Google search!

You're welcome! Yeah, I thumbed back and forth a couple pages looking for a pic, too.

I think there might be one up front, too, which this person turned into a memorial.

Sorry, no beer drinking 'til the job is done.

And if you note closely, the hood itself has a 3mm thick metal disc that matches the holder. And if you slam the hood shut, it also smashes the beer can.

Never mind, that's the same one, I'm 12.

C&D suggested that you might just want a place to put your beers while you show off your Hemi to your beer drinking buddies.

I don't believe you.

That is not to be used by the consumer, it is there for the assembly line workers, a place to put their beer while they light up a joint

Looking at this from a different angle, the message some might take away is, "the car breaks a lot so we provided a place to put your beer since you'll be under the hood so often."

AKA, "You're gonna need this."

I've seen it on TV. Are you questioning a morning TV show?

Fine, I believe you.

It's not me you have to believe in. It's that extra healthy 40 year old lady, with very white teeth and strong opinions on TV.

This is where you place the crowbar to hold the hood up after the hood shocks go out while you are working on the engine.

It is a Chrysler product, after all...

The last time I didn't have a beer before/during a car repair, the car fell on my head. I am NOT making that mistake again.

I bought this for you.

Just as long as it isn't that Red Tick Beer crap.

If your automotive company has to build you a cupholder under their car's hood....you might have bought an unreliable car.
(said in the typical Jeff Foxworthy voice). I bet Chysler got the design from the Italians. :)
Kidding, I think it's awesome.

Yes, I will take a hood prop myself over the struts.

Step 1: embed/glue magnet under plastic
Step 2: place bolts and things in magnetic 'dish'
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit!!1!
